Is Your Pastor Abusive? Is it a Problem to Point Out a Problem in Your Church?

Some churches are little dictatorships, with pastors lording it over the people. Too many Christians serve pastors who are governed by their own selfish agenda and do not minister for the benefit of the brethren and as the Lord Jesus Christ would have them to do ministry. In such places, all that matters is that pews are faithfully occupied and no one dares question what is going on.

Paul the apostle addressed this problem when it came to certain “super apostles” who were abusing the brethren in Corinth.

2 Corinthians 11:20 – For you tolerate it if anyone enslaves you, anyone devours you, anyone takes advantage of you, anyone exalts himself, anyone hits you in the face.

Are you enduring abuse from a pastor? Paul rebukes the Corinthian brethren for putting up with too much from those who were abusing them.
